How does RocketCart compute shipping?
Shipping is setup and managed using the RocketCart Management Center. Within each shipping class, shipping can be based on the number of items ordered, total weight, or total cost. You can also set up sub-classes which are classified as expedited routes (if the customer wants to ship their order faster than ground).

You have complete flexibility to set shipping at whatever rates you choose. You can also choose which base shipping class is used for each product, allowing for different distribution handling methods for different products.

Shipping can also be configured using a third-party application called iisCartShip to calculate exact shipping costs from UPS and FedEX. iisCartShip is an optional application which RocketCart is built to accomodate.

How does RocketCart compute sales tax?
RocketCart uses a very-open ended tax rules system that allows you to add sales tax to any order where a customer's city, state, or country matches the rule.
