Oinkari Basque Dancers
Boise, Idaho - - The Oinkari Basque Dancers today released their new web site through the efforts of the Oinkari board of directors and Boise-based web consultants from iPlan. The site will provide information about the history of the Oinkari and dances from the Basque homeland, a private dancer's area, an online retail presence utilizing RocketCart, newsletter signups and many other features. The basic web design and logo were created by Izar Iribarren-Gorrindo and the development was fostered under the watchful eye of sister Maite Iribarren-Gorrindo. Izar is a contract graphics and web designer for iPlan. She volunteered her time to this effort. Maite also provided many of the photographs and treatments that are important elements of the site's design and presentation. Izar and Maite are Oinkari dancers and board members.
The Oinkari Basque Dancers are one of the top folk dance troupes in North America. Their 40 year history includes performances at the LIbrary of Congress and Kennedy Center in Washington, DC in July, 2004, and two trips to the Basque country.
